On September 8, 2022, DBM Siete successfully participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), which was conducted for the first time since the onset of the pandemic. The drill was initiated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Various government agencies, as well as their officials and employees, were enjoined to take part in the drill in order to strengthen their natural instincts, practice being prepared for the possibility of earthquakes, and demonstrate the government's capacity to respond to disasters and boost national resilience.

DBM Siete employees paid close attention during the mock earthquake drill, which was conducted while considering a real earthquake scenario.

Using a loud warning device, a signal was given to start the simulation process. Employees performed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol. A whistling sound signaled the end of the mock earthquake. Employees wearing their hard hats, brought their Emergency Go Bags that were readily available for them and headed towards the safety exits of the office building.

Employees gathered outside the office in the designated safe area away from the building, fences, walls, electricity poles, bridges and trees. The security officer performed a head count making sure that everyone was accounted for and safely got out of the building. In case someone needed assistance, a first aid kit was also made accessible.
