On September 6, 2019, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released PhP11 million to the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP). This amount covers the funding requirements for the agency’s hosting of the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) and Sandaan (One Hundred Years) events, and shall be chargeable against the FDCP’s Special Account in the General Fund (SAGF) for FY 2019.

The PPP is a week-long celebration of Philippine Cinema where new quality genre Filipino films are screened for one (1) week in all regular cinemas nationwide. The conduct of the third PPP signals the start of the official celebration of the One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 622, series of 2018. The PPP will be held on September 13 to 19, 2019 to kick off the celebration of Sandaan.

The PhP11 million released amount for the FDCP will be used for the PPP Grand Fans Day, Film Industry Conference and Project Market, PPP Awards Night and Gabi ng Pasasalamat, and various advertising and promotional activities.
