Trust Rating

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman expressed gratitude to the public as she again landed among the top performing and most trusted Cabinet members of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., according to the independent and non-commissioned 2023 “Boses ng Bayan” national survey conducted between 25 June and 5 July by the RP-Mission and Development (RPMD) Foundation Inc.

Secretary Pangandaman took the third spot with a 73% approval, 75% trust rating. The trust rating was 8% higher compared to that of December 2022.

The survey engaged 10,000 adult participants — which, RPMD said, were drawn from a pool of 67.75 million registered voters, the respondents selected randomly, and each city’s count proportionately distributed based on official voter population statistics. The survey results have a margin of error of +/-1% and a 95% confidence level.

“Muli po akong nagpapasalamat sa ating mga kababayan sa tiwalang binigay nila sa akin bilang Budget Secretary. I will strive even more to live up to their confidence and expectations,” said Sec. Pangandaman.

"Rest assured the PBBM Administration will continue programs to lessen the impact of inflation, help create more jobs with higher or sufficient salaries, extend financial aid to those who need it most, provide faster and responsive services, and end corruption through digital transformation. We are focused on achieving the administration’s Agenda for Prosperity that is inclusive and sustainable even for future generations,” the DBM Secretary added.

At the top spot in the survey was Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos with a performance rating of 88% and a trust rating of 93%; followed by Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian, (76% approval, 85% trust rating), National Security Adviser Eduardo Año (75% approval, 87% trust rating), and Tourism Sec. Christina Garcia-Frasco (75% approval, 70% trust rating), all tied at no. 2.

In the executive and legislative branches, President Bongbong Marcos Jr., Vice President Sara Duterte, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez attained high levels of public support and trust.
